Frames & Art by Kluttz was established in 1977, by Richard L. Kluttz. For over thirty-four years, Frames & Art by Kluttz has been a successful business, providing quality conservation framing and fine art to individuals and businesses throughout the area. Frames & Art by Kluttz offers hundreds of designer mouldings from which to choose. In addition to offering original artworks, limited edition prints, pottery and sculptures, Frames & Art by Kluttz also features fine art photography by Marie Kluttz. Richard Kluttz earned his Master Certified Picture Framer® (MCPF) designation through the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA). Also, he has served as President of the Carolinas Chapter of Professional Picture Framers Association, serving both North Carolina and South Carolina.
Marie Kluttz is an avid nature photographer and has attended workshops
across the country in order to enhance her photography skills. She has

Marie has been a Field Contributor for the Nature Photographer Magazine , and has had several photo-illustrated articles featured in that publication. She has also been featured on the Nature Photographer Magazine web site.

Richard Kluttz earned the designation of Master Certified Picture Framer®, the highest level of professional recognition in the art and framing industry. This designation is awarded by the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) to individuals who successfully meet rigorous testing of current framing standards. The PPFA is the largest international professional trade association serving the art and framing industry. |

In 2009, Richard expanded his love for working with wood. He decided to
build custom acoustic guitars. All of his fine craftsmanship is
completely done by hand. His guitars feature carefully cut and planed
sides, tops and bottom, hand-carved necks, custom inlays, and fine
finishes. Each one is a one-of-a-kind instrument. Richard uses the name
Caston on his hand-crafted guitars, naming them after Marie’s
grandfather and their grandson, Caston.
